There Are Voices in My Head

Ok, so not real voices, but that of my muse. Her name is Tiana and she is always talking to me. She my main character, and now that I have given her life she won't leave me alone.

Tiana is constantly wanting to tell me about her adventures and to have me put them to paper. The problem is she sometimes talks at the most inopportune times, like when it's time for me to sleep, or worse yet in a public restroom.

I am trying to do my best to keep up with her. But she is going faster than I can write, especially when life interrupts and I can't write.

How does one deal with a muse that won't leave you alone? I am new to this art of writing and so I am not used to having this creation of mine constantly jabbering.

We are going to have to come to some sort of agreement here, Tiana and I, about timing.

Ah, speaking of Tiana, there she goes nagging me get off blogging and to get to writing her story.

Until next time....

Welcome To My Musings

Welcome one and all,

I hope to be able to use this site to share my musings and progess as an aspiring author and crafter.

I am in the process of writing a fantasy novel. I have yet to decide if it will be a young adult novel or if I'll want to spice it up a bit. I am leaning towards the later.

I have been participating in a 1000 words a day or 1 hour per day challenge. I can do the hour no problem, it's the 1000 words I have trouble with. It never crossed my mind that writing that many words in one sitting could be so difficult especially when you write with pen and paper. It seems like I could write 6, 8, even 10 pages and I think "Wow, I got to be close to my goal for the day." And to my dismay my word count is only somewhere around 400.

Let me clarify by saying that I use only one side of the page and skip lines to mimic a manuscript. That way I can make notes for editing in between the lines or on the back side of the sheet.

I am also a crafter. I love to crochet I am currently working on my crocheted version of a Weasley sweater. I have made 3 house scarves- a Gryffindor, a Ravenclaw, and a Hufflepuff.
Yes, I am a Harry Potter fan! To add to my addiction, I am also in the process of making house robes for myself and 2 children.

Since I am also a Lord of the Rings fan, my next sewing project will be an Arwen dress. Haven't decided which one yet but I am leaning towards the one where she returns to Elrond and asks him to reforge Narsil. Then I'll look into making Eowyn's Shieldmaiden or white Edoras gown.
Ambious ain't I? Heck, yeah and I am a beginner seamstress. I haven't much of a clue as to what I am doing.

So this blog will be about my musings, my crafts, what I'm reading and whatever else I feel like sharing. Thanks for stopping by.

Namaste and Bright Blessings
